Core Idea

Simulation is the mental rehearsal of a future event. By running a simulation in your mind, you reduce hesitation, increase clarity, and expose weak spots before they cause real consequences. Your brain responds to imagined action almost like real experience. That’s why elite performers rehearse: to build fluency before.

Whatever you simulate, doing the real thing will become much easier.
The longer you simulate, the easier it'll become.

Practice

  1. Pick a small goal
  2. Close your eyes & imagine taking all the steps from your current situation to the situation where you have achieved your goal

Example 1 - Taking a cold shower

Imagine taking off your clothes, taking your towel, going in the shower, hanging your towel, opening the cold water, feeling the cold water touch your head, your shoulders, your back/chest, your legs etc..

Example 2 - Talking To A Cute Girl

Imagine getting up, moving toward her, saying "Hi", smiling, hearing her say hi back, telling her your name while holding out your hand in handshake position, hearing her say "ow I have a boyfriend", smiling and saying "have a good evening, he is a lucky guy", while you're leaving hearing her say thank you, turning back and taking a glance once more to see her smile while going back

Other Considerations

This model is not about prediction. It’s about reducing friction and improving preparedness. It builds surface area for foresight.

Think of it like gaining xp with the situation without actually being in the situation.
